The next generation of soft-spoken, hard-shooting, ice-savvy hockey players related to likely hall-of-famers took the ice last night for the Washington Capitals. At 5′7″ and 177 pounds, Chris Bourque is a wee version of his dad Ray, and he’ll have to buff out his stat line a bit if he hopes to garner comparisons beyond the shared last name. Still, after their 2-1 OT loss to the weird fish strange birds from Atlanta, which came hot on the heels of Monday’s debacle against the Hurricanes, which came hot on the heels of nine other losses in their last 11 games, Caps fans need to get creative when finding things to cheer about. Go get ‘em, little guy!
